What happens after the interim judgment is granted?

Short answer

If you file a normal track divorce, after the Interim Judgment, the Court moves on to resolve ancillary matters, namely the division of matrimonial assets, spousal and child maintenance, and custody arrangements, before the divorce can be finalised. Once these matters are settled by agreement or court order, and at least three months have passed since the Interim Judgment, you can apply for the Final Judgment, which legally ends the marriage.
